HSBC collections department – They give deadline, but chase you to make payment before the deadline. Nonsense tactic.
HSBC Collections department – not sure why there is a need to call to “remind” your customers to pay when I’m not even overdue.
Just kept hanging up the moment i picked it up. As many have said, most likely a bait tactic to get you to call back.

Errrr it’s a legitimate call from HSBC bill collection team, verified with HSBC hotline personnel that the number is valid and genuine.

Faced the same issue, called me 3 times and when I answered, it hung up. When I called back, it asked for my NRIC which I did not give.

I returned call, it happened to be HSBC. A lady answered, asked for my NRIC, Name, DOB. I was reluctant initially, but still co-operated. Turned out to be genuine, and was given the explanation that this is an automated call, inducing us to return call to HSBC. Lousy modus operandi, self-explanatory.
